Is my friend a real person?
Your Friend is an AI companion from Hey There Friend. It generates personalized texts; you’re not messaging a human operator.
Can I text my friend back?
Yes, with Talk Back. Daily Hello and Three a Day send personalized check-ins but do not include ongoing two-way conversations. STOP and HELP are available on every plan.
What does my friend remember?
With Talk Back, relevant conversation history and saved details can help your friend remember interests, people, and plans you share. Memory isn’t perfect. You can download your data from your account and contact support to request corrections or removal of personal information.
Do I need an app or a new number?
No app download is needed. Texts arrive in your usual messaging app at the phone number you verify. Save the number from your welcome text as Hey There Friend.
Can I change my kind of friend?
Yes. Update your personality, interests, and preferences from your account. Available plan changes and any charges are shown before you confirm.
How do I cancel?
Sign in to your account and choose Cancel renewal to prevent the next charge. Access ordinarily continues through your paid period. Replying STOP or pausing texts stops messages, but does not cancel subscription billing.
Who can sign up?
Hey There Friend is for US residents aged 18 or older with a supported US mobile number. New York, Washington, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Colorado, Georgia, and Iowa are currently on our waitlist.
Can I give it as a gift?
Yes. Gifts are a one-time purchase: 365 days of Daily Hello, or 30 days of Three a Day or Talk Back. The eligible recipient sets up their own preferences and activates their gift. Gifts do not automatically renew.
